LAS VEGAS, lintasbabel.id - Billboard Music Awards 2022 sukses digelar di MGM Grand Garden Arena di Las Vegas, Minggu (15/5/2022) waktu setempat atau Senin (16/5/2022) WIB. Grup K-pop BTS berhasil mencetak sejarah dalam ajang ini.

Dimana grup tersebut berhasil memenangkan tiga dari enam nominasi. Doja Cat dinobatkan sebagai Top R&B Artist dan kemudian memenangkan Best R&B Album untuk Planet Her.

Megan Thee Stallion meraih Top Female Rap Artist. Glass Animals menyabet Top Rock Artist. Dan + Shay memenangkan penghargaan untuk Top Country Duo/Group, sementara ILLENIUM memenangkan Top Album Dance/Electronic untuk Fallen Embers.

Pada kesempatan ini, Janet Jackson menghadiahkan Mary J Blige dengan Billboard Icon Award.

Dipandu oleh Sean Diddy Combs, Billboard Music Awards 2022 memberikan penghargaan kepada para musisi yang telah mencapai kesuksesan melalui penjualan album dan lagu dan streaming, pemutaran radio, konser, dan sosial.
